Track History
Paradise Valley Speedway opened for the 1970/71 season, replacing earlier Rotorua venues at Forest Lake and Rugby Park. The 365-metre clay and lime oval has a distinctive teardrop shape β very tight turns 1 and 2 with wider, flowing turns 3 and 4. The World 240 Invitational has been the crown jewel since 2005, pitting NZ superstocks against competitors from the UK, Netherlands, and America, with the champion earning a funded campaign to compete in the BriSCA Formula 1 Stock Cars World Championship.
