Ethan Rees Beat His Father to the World 240s Title

The TWS World Invitation Superstock Championship at Rotorua's Paradise Valley Speedway on 21 January 2023 ended in a father-and-son finish.

Ethan Rees (127G) took the title by a single point from his father, Peter Rees (10G). British visitor Frankie Wainman Jr (515GB) completed the podium, ahead of Quinn Ryan, Dale Stewart and Alex Hill.

It remains one of the best-known finishes in the event's history, which is part of how it ended up here with the wrong year on it.

We have not confirmed who won the 2026 running, which was held at Paradise Valley in late January. Sources disagree and we would rather say so than guess again. If you were there, tell us.
